Children's Ministry

First Christian Church is family friendly!  We love kids and long to tell them about Jesus!  Because we care about both our children and volunteer staff, all of our Children's Ministry workers undergo our Keeping Kid's Safe background check procedure.

We offer a number of Children's Ministries at First Christian:

-Kid's Klub is our Vacation Bible School-style children's ministry that runs on Wednesday nights from 6:45-8:00 at FCC from September through April.  Children enjoy a Bible lesson, worship, snacks, and a game.  Kid's Klub is for 4 year olds through 6th graders.  Transporation is available.

-Children's Church meets on Sunday mornings in room 118.  Nicknamed the "The Lord's Army," the students spend time in worship, prayer, communion, and fellowship.  The staff has a lot of energy and they love God and elementary students.

-2s & 3s/ 4s & 5s- Our Sunday morning preschool ministry leads children to understand more about Jesus!  Students have a Bible study, prayer, and a lot of fun playing on the ark.  Two and three year olds are picked-up and dropped-off at the Children's Welcome Desk and later meet in room 108.  Four and five year olds, as well as kindergarten students, meet in room 113.

-Nursery-  Our Nursery is filled with loving and caring adults.  Children from birth through 23 months can be dropped-off and picked-up at the Children's Welcome Desk attached to room 106.

-Sunday School- At 11 a.m. on Sundays, First Christian Church offers Bible studies for all ages.  We offer children's classes for birth-23 months (room 106), 2 & 3 year olds (room 108), 4 and 5 year olds/ Kindergarten (room 113), 1st and 2nd grade (room 114), 3rd and 4th grade (room 119), and 5th and 6th grade (room 120).

-S.O.S.- FCC offers a service ministry for 4-6 graders.  The "Serving Our Savior" group, serves Christ in many ways at FCC and throughout the community.  S.O.S. meets monthly.

-V. B. S.- Vacation Bible School in 2009 was held June 15th-19th at FCC.  We invited children to go with us to the land down under for "Boomerang Express."  We had over 100 children join us for the week.
