Revolution Refuge Special Events Mirror Image Grundy Med Form
First Christian Revolution served in August 2008 at Mountain Mission School in Grundy, Virginia. In 2008, 25 students and adults from Warsaw viewed first hand the great amount of love and joy that radiates from that campus. We had the opportunity to hold a Vacation Bible School at MMS. The first held there in 15 years. Our theme was Rickshaw Rally and we encouraged students to race toward the Son! Nightly, the VBS served about 70 students ranging from Pre-K through 6th Grade. In addition to the VBS, we had the opportunity to build relationships with the children on the playground. Our students showed Christ's love to the children by playing basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, relay races, and frisbee with them. Some of our teens helped to lead students in song. Some of our girls even enjoyed painting the girl's nails. The friendships made on the playground helped to set the foundation for what we would teach the students in the evening. After the VBS each night, we were able to treat a different group of kids from MMS to ice cream at Dairy Queen. Sweet treats and sweet memories were shared under the red roof. During our trip, we traveled to Breaks Interstate Park, which is on the state line between Virginia and Kentucky. The views testified to the greatness of our creative God!
