Revolution Refuge Special Events Mirror Image Grundy Med Form
First Christian Revolution had the great opportunity to serve the Lord in August of 2008 and 2009 at Mountain Mission School in Grundy, Virginia. The Lord is doing an amazing work for children in the rural mountains of Virginia. We praise God for the gift of spending just a few moments serving His children there.
In 2009, we took 21 students and 6 adults to MMS to hold a Vacation Bible School. The theme was "Umbrella Ranch" and we discussed honesty, respect, and self-control.
We also had the opportunity to throw a Welcome Home Carnival/ Block Party/ Hot Dog Roast for the students and workers at Mountain Mission School.
We built wooden basketball toys for each hall.
We were able to do some service projects for the ministry. Scott McDonald and Keith Lafountain were able to invest considerable amounts of time taking care of those particular needs for the school.
We had the chance to take the teenagers to Dairy Queen. The fellowship that was shared at DQ was sweet and encouraging.
We looked at the beauty of God's creation at Brakes Park.
