2016 Prayer Focus
First Christian Church longs to meet the Lord in prayer. For that reason, we have embarked on a church-wide campaign to deepen our prayer lives as a congregation and as individual Christians in 2016. We pray that you will join us in this exciting pursuit!
We started the year with a community showing of the powerful prayer film, War Room, at FCC. Throughout 2016, you will find our own War Room (prayer area) at the west entrance of the church building. We encourage you to use the provided post-it notes to write prayer concerns. The church family continually lifts up each prayer request to the Lord. If you would like a person listed in the Sunday bulletin, please contact the church office.
This year, you will, also, discover the Prayer Resource Center in the Fellowship Area. The PRC is filled with materials to help strenghten your prayer walk. This media center is filled with books, magazines, DVDs, CDS, bookmarks, calendars, and other resources. Please check it out!
In addition to a January prayer sermon series, we are planning another prayer series that will begin in August, called "Dangerous Prayer." In this series, we will discuss the powerful concept of prayer circling and invite you to circle this community in prayer with us.
We will host an Educational Employment Commissiong Service on Sunday, August 14th. On that date, we will challenge, encourage, and commit our public, private, homeschool, and preschool workers to godly service for the school year. Please sign-up to participate on the Fellowship Bulletin board by July 31st.
We would like to encourage you to pray anytime in our church Prayer Garden. This patio, located to the left of the main entrance, is a wonderful spot for private time with the Lord.
May we continually meet the Lord in prayer in 2016 and beyond!
