The Story of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark

The opening verse of the Gospel of Mark says it is “the beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

We could take this to mean the first verse is simply that – the beginning of the Gospel account itself.

Or that first verse could mean that the entire book of Mark is meant to be the account of the beginning of something that we, as Jesus’ disciples’, are supposed to continue. 

 The ministry of Jesus is to be continued.  That’s what Mark shows us.  This message series will challenge us to continue the very things that Jesus put in motion.
