HE WILL BE CALLED…

            The names of Jesus in Isaiah 9:6

Make this one about how Jesus ministers to us personally.  What these names mean to us in personal relation to Jesus.  (i.e.: Is He your Wonderful Counselor?, Your Mighty God?, etc.) 

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born,

to us a son is given,

and the government will be on his shoulders.

And he will be called

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  

DECEMBER 6 – WONDERFUL COUNSELOR

Message concept:

He is exceptional, distinguished, and without peer.  The one who gives right advice.  Do we trust him to be this wonderful counselor in our lives?  When we need the right advice do we go to him?  Do we know how to? 

DECEMBER 13 – MIGHTY GOD

Message concept:

Jesus is God himself.  And He is mighty.  We can trust Him to deliver us and take care of us.

DECEMBER 20 – EVERLASTING FATHER

Message concept: 

Jesus is timeless.  He is one with God, our Father.  He operates outside of time and space.  He’s big.  Big enough to have created you and big enough to come down here and be with you personally in your hurt and pain.        

DECEMBER 24 – PRINCE OF PEACE

Message concept:

Jesus’ kingdom is one of justice and peace.  Have you experienced the peace that He alone can bring to your life?

DECEMBER 27 – JESUS (Matthew chapter 1)

Message concept:

Joseph was told to name this baby “Jesus” which means “the Lord saves.”
